Soft and hard pastels on Pastelmat paper (360 g/m²)

I painted this picture in November 2021 on location, that is by the Twiske Lake, to the North of Amsterdam.
Despite the overcast light grey sky, the colours of the last autumn leaves and the warm oranges of the dried up reed made it a warm picture. It was worth freezing my fingers (and the rest of my body, for that matter).

For all my paintings I use only light-fast pastels, which means that the colours are guaranteed to maintain their vibrance in time.
