Soft pastels on Canson Mi- Teintes Touch paper (350 gr/m2)

This is a painting I made after a picture I took during a hike in Scotland around Christmas 2019. We were prepared to the freezing cold with our Thermo clothing, but the whole week there was nothing but sun and temperatures higher than in the Netherlands . It was just like the colours on paper: warm in the sun, cool in the shadow.
For some of the ocher areas I used a gold colour, a subtle shiny touch that is visible under artificial light (sadly it does not show in the digital picture).

For all my paintings I use only light-fast pastels of the best quality, which means that the colours are guaranteed to maintain their vibrance in time.
