Water is a theme that keeps on coming back in my work over and over. This water in particular belongs to the Ij River flowing behind the Central station of Amsterdam. It was really soothing during the lock down to go down to the river and just watch it flow and glow in the sunset light, oblivious of our troubles.

For my paintings I use only light-fast pastels, which means that the colours are guaranteed to maintain their vibrance in time.
