Soft pastels on Pastelmat paper (360 gr/m2)

Sometimes I am myself amazed at what my creations end up looking like. This is one of those.
I really tried to stretch the colours and strokes as much as I could, walking the line between realism and abstraction.
The painting is constructed by using complementary colours in the underpainting (first layer of soft pastel roughly spread on paper with alcohol) and adding layers of dry soft pastel subsequently.

For all my paintings I use only light-fast pastels, which means that the colours are guaranteed to maintain their vibrance in time.
